The Joslyn Art Museum is Omaha’s premiere fine art museum, a massive spectacle of Art Deco design constructed just at the edge of the 30’s. To this day the structure remains along Dodge Street, a home to many incredible permanent collections, a learning center and sculpture garden. For many years, newly engaged couples have chosen this historic spot as the destination for their wedding day. Elizabeth and Yale did just this and from what we can tell, no regrets. The two started the day at Our Lady of Lourdes Church just... Read The Rest →
Love stories are our business. Now not all love stories are the same, but it’s the ones with the details that make them unforgettable. Dani and Andrew are an excellent example of this. She’s from the Midwest and he’s from halfway around the globe, love holds no boundaries. We produced a wedding video and handled all of their photography as well. Taking to the Loess Hills for photos, then a secluded cornfield for a few more. The two picked the Orpheum Theater in Sioux City as the venue for their... Read The Rest →
Things are really ramping up at Iwen Exposures, we just added two new cameras to our arsenal. The Canon 1-DX Mark II and Canon C300 Mark II to be exact for those camera aficionados out there. Personally you’d find me at the zoo, but because of Valentine’s Day we felt it necessary to test the new gear out with our friends at Bou•quet. The floral design studio sits right next to Iwen Exposures studios at The Pella at Blackstone. They do amazing work bringing together arrangements with colorful flowers, and happy to let us hang... All of the rain lately reminds us Laura and Derek. Their late August wedding ceremony at Indian Creek Country Club quickly switched to the short version after a late summer thundershower made it’s way over the Elkhorn area. It’s the first time I’ve held an umbrella while filming. The couple said they had “wanted an outdoor wedding and for it to be brief”, nailed it. Just as the two arrived at the alter, it began to rain. Believe me though, it did not crush their spirits. What a perfect couple! See more... Read The Rest →

We’ve spent years building the perfect team of photographers and videographers. These guys and gals are true artists that are passionate about telling stories and producing real, authentic imagery- always pushing boundaries and trying new things. We work together as a crew and it’s totally evident in the final images and films. No throwin’ elbows to get the money shot. No walking in front of the camera during the big reveal or the first kiss. We think about things from both the technical and creative aspects and we also think... Read The Rest →
I haven’t published a blog post in a while…a long while, but I have a pretty good excuse. About two and half years ago, we did something super crazy. We bought a 100+ year old church. The location was dear to our hearts and we just kind of fell in love it. You see, my wife and I were two of the original pioneers of the Blackstone District and after spending 7 delightful years in our old studio space at 40th and Farnam, we had to come to terms with... Here’s a good winter one for ya! This day was like one big awesome field trip. We stopped at Ted and Wally’s for ice cream, das boots at the Huber-Haus. St Johns at Creighton and the Embassy Suites in La Vista…why all the way out there for the reception you ask? Because there were like 800 guests at the reception and that is about the only place that can accommodate that many people! Amazing details and a truly memorable and beautiful day. Cheers!
This is from a while ago- just never enough time for blogging!!! This wedding brings back great memories. Everything was perfect. Loved the couple. Loved the venue. So many personal touches that gave the day a beautiful story full of personality. They had a gospel choir!!!! Every single guest was clapping and smiling. Beautiful! Wedding ceremony and reception were at 1316 Jones Street, which is a fantastic downtown Omaha wedding venue if you are on the lookout for something in that area. Enjoy!
On these cold winter days, I like to go through the archive and find images that remind me of warmer days…
